Consensus made on Iran deal: Ebtekar

TEHRAN, Sep. 08 (MNA) – Head of Iran’s Department of Environment Masoumeh Ebtekar has said that in Iran there exists a consensus on JCPOA calling for fair and balanced execution of nuclear deal.

Ebtekar told FRANCE 24 on Monday that July’s landmark nuclear agreement has had a unifying effect in the Islamic Republic of Iran stating that the deal has not been divisive in Iran because the Leader gave his stamp of approval and thereby succeeded in bringing round those initially opposed to the deal.

She called for fair and balanced execution of the nuclear deal in a way that guarantees Iran's rights.

Ebtekar left for the French capital of Paris on Monday to attend a ministerial meeting in preparation for the upcoming COP21, also known as the 2015 Paris Climate Conference.

Ebtekar has made the trip to Paris at the invitation of French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, who is the president of the COP21. Fabius has organized a series of informal ministerial consultations to prepare for the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, which is going to be held on December 7 and 8.

The ongoing consultation meeting has brought together 60 delegations from around the world, 40 of whom have taken part at the level of ministers.

The Iranian official is going to hold meetings with a number of attendees on the sidelines of the gathering.
